Brief Introduction


  The Qinzhou Beibu Gulf Overseas Chinese Investment Zone is the second largest overseas Chinese community in Guangxi. Situated in the eastern part of Qinzhou City, it is located in the central area of ??Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. Covering an area of ??about 140 square kilometers, the investment zone has unique advantages. It has convenient location and transportation -- 35 kilometers away from Qinzhou City, Qinzhou Port, Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area and China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park; the traffic is very convenient and there are two expressways; the climate is pleasant -- it belongs to the south subtropical monsoon climate with abundant rainfall, having the annual average temperature of 22<C, the annual average rainfall of 1,940.7mm, the annual average sunshine of 1,850 hours, the annual average relative humidity of 80.2%, and the vegetation coverage rate of about 85%, which are extremely suitable for the development of fruit cultivation; the land resources are abundant: the total area of ??the whole zone is 210,000 mus (139.94 square kilometers), and there is a concentrated state-owned land area of ??116,878 mu for exploitation and development; human resources are unique: the investment zone has a total population of 17,000 people, of whom 5,735 are returned overseas Chinese from more than 20 countries in the world.
  The industries that are mainly planned for development include modern characteristic agricultural cultivation industry, light industry such as deep processing of agricultural products, and health tourism industry.

      Since this year, Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone and relevant departments seize the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, actively serve and promote the operation of seaway-railway liner and enhance the transportation capacity of the hub port of Southern Transport Corridor, which has achieved favorable results in constructing port infrastructure and increasing liner routes. Besides, the phase-I extension project of Qinzhou Port Eastern Freight Station and some other projects have been completed and the phase-I extension project of Qinzhou Port Eastern Channel and some other projects have been launched. Up to now, the port has completed 48.604 million tons of throughput, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%; handled 1.077 million containers, a year-on-year increase of 37.2%; and obtained total foreign trade value of 8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%, gradually becoming a gateway of Seaway-Railway Liner Transportation on China-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Initiative - Southern Transport Corridor and a hub port of China-EU Seaway-Railway Liner Transportation.

      Recently, Zhang Zhijun, President of Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits, led a delegation to inspect Cross-straits Industrial Cooperation Zone Qinzhou Industrial Park (China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park). Zhang emphasized that both sides of the Taiwan Straits should remain committed to mutual benefit and win-win to promote closer industrial cooperation.
      Zhang listened to the report on the park¨s development orientation and main projects, learning in details about its construction planning and investment cooperation, and recognized its innovation on development planning, industry positioning and business cooperation. He pointed out that the park has achieved favorable results after being granted as a branch of the Cross-straits Industrial Cooperation Zone, especially its development strategy and preliminary planning on promoting park construction and attracting enterprises from Taiwan.

      Recently, the launching ceremony for the phase-I project of Container Handling Station of Qinzhou Port East Station was held in Qinzhou Port.
      As a key project of China-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Initiative - Southern Transport Corridor, the Container Handling Station is crucial for the seaway-railway liner transportation of the corridor, serving as a landmark project to improve the business environment and a major project to implement coordinated land-sea development. Divided into 3 phases, the project will own handling capacity of 3 million containers per year upon completion. With designed handling capacity of 267 thousand containers per year and a total investment of 560 million yuan, the phase-I project has been launched already and will be put into use in 2019. The launch of the phase-I project marks that the whole project construction has made substantial progress.

      Recently, Liu Qin, head of Lingshan County of Qinzhou City, went to Dahuaishan Wind Farm to investigate the construction of the key items. Liu Qin successively went to the construction sites of the unit project and booster station in the Dahuaishan Wind Farm Project and to observe the construction of the wind farm project. Liu Qin pointed out that it is necessary to strengthen coordination and cooperation in accordance with the requirements of the project work, and make every effort to promote the construction of key items. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the ecological environmental protection during the project construction process and create a safe, civilized and environment-friendly construction atmosphere. It is understood that the Dahuaishan Wind Farm Project is located near Xinxu Town and Fozi Town, Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, with a total investment of 1.62 billion yuan. It plans to install 100 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 200,000 kilowatts. At present, 100,000 kilowatts of Phase I has been completed, and 100,000 kilowatts of Phase II is under construction.
